Omabit Joins StartX Summer 2026 Cohort
We're excited to share that Hidden Pieces, the team building Omabit, has been accepted into StartX as part of the Summer 2026 cohort.
What StartX is
StartX is Stanford's founder community, a non-profit accelerator that takes no equity and charges no fees. Its alumni have built a portfolio worth more than $200 billion, including 26 unicorns, with 88 Stanford professors and hundreds of experienced mentors involved across the network. Admission is merit-based and the cohort is capped, so getting in is something we're genuinely proud of.
Why it matters for Omabit
Omabit lets life scientists run genomic analyses such as differential expression, pathway analysis, and variant annotation through plain language instead of code. What takes a typical lab three months takes us a day. Being surrounded by other Stanford founders, mentors who have built and sold companies, and a community that opens doors is exactly the kind of pressure-test and support that helps us build that vision faster.
Orientation week
We kicked off the program with in-person orientation at StartX's Porter Drive space alongside the rest of the Summer 2026 cohort, a strong group of founders working across biotech, health, enterprise, and hardware.
There's a lot more to come this summer. If you're a scientist or a lab that wants to spend less time wrangling data and more time doing science, we'd love to talk.
